Viewfinder sizes

I love this page, which has been mentioned already, showing different sizes of viewfinders pictorially: Standard versus Enhanced Viewfinders - Size Matters :: Wetpixel.com

Did a quick update/calculation of my own:

5D Mark II	30.10
Nikon D700	29.59
Nikon D90	26.17
Olympus E-3	25.88
Pentax K100D	23.06
Pentax K20D	25.38
Sony A900	31.96

To me it's kind of like buying a TV - I like them big The thing that makes it a hard call is that in this analogy, the Olympus is a standard TV, everything else is widescreen. So using the diagonal is not fair to the Olympus. Sorry, Olympus!

P.S. The old film classic Pentax K1000 would be 38mm x coverage. Guessing coverage at 93% that would be 35mm viewfinder visible diagonal. The Sony A900 is getting close...
