weird image numbering problem - help needed

hey all, i have an unusual image numbering problem going on with my new k200d.

I had a k100d and took about 7000 picutres, and then recently purchased my k200d. i formatted my sd card before putting it in the k200d, but for some reason, it is resuming the image counting where my k100d left off. i am wondering how i can get my k200d to label the files with the appropriate number of pictures actually taken (around 100). any help would be great!

did you format the card in the k100 or the k200, or in a pc??

Changing Frame Numbers

At least on my K10D and my old *istD, if you put a memory card in that has a file number higher than the internal number the camera will update the internal number to one more than the one on the card.

You can get the number in the camera back to any number you want by first resetting the number (I don't remember how - look it up in the manual).

Then put one file on an empty card with a number one less than where you want your next number to be.

After getting file name clashes from number wraps and from images from my old *istD I wrote a Java program that renames files so that they have the camera model with the frame counter appended (e.g. K10D_000034.pef).
