K10D question

How can you tell how many actuations that your camera has. Tried searching threads no luck. Anybody know? I want to sell my K10D and I would like to post how many pictures it has taken.

I use a program called PhotoME and it's freeware that is an exif reader and it includes how many shutter actuations there have been. Good luck w/ your sale!

second to that one, I'd just like to add that if I remember corectly, the actuations info is only retained on RAW files...

Jpeg's straight out of the camera also have "shutter count" tag.

Thank you Vagrant10 for the tip. I downloaded and it shows 181 more actuations than the jpeg count. I guess, those were form the factory (testing and Quality Assurance).

Yep, this has been discussed several times in the past on this forum.
All new cameras start with more than a hundred, besides that there are a few functions that can cause the shutter to open without increasing the frame counter. Think of digital DOF preview or the multiple exposure function.
