YET! Even i got caught with all samples and reviews and "touch and try" experiences, hands on somewhere and so on, and then when something is critisized they come up with "oh is not the final firmware" so from now on i'll wait for the final camera and samples.

Well, the contrast AF in video mode, for one. Turns out that will not be included in final firmware due to it causing problems.

Well, if it's not the 1.0 firmware, it's not the 1.0 firmware: I think it's fair enough to say that you can't be sure of too many details in beta, so patience is probably called for.

It sounds like they put a lot into the contrast AF for video, so if it won't be enabled in the 1.0, I doubt that release will be 'final,' anyway.

Happens all the time in the world of software; marketroids make promises that engineers and coders can't keep. Look how much stuff was dropped from Windoze Vista by the time it was released.
