When are we going to see $400-450 K20?

Come on guys and gals. Go out and buy the k-7 and leave us the lowly k20

A friend of mine is interested in my K100D.

My "acceptable" minimum upgrade would be a k20d, but can't spend more than $400-450. How long before the marketplace gets inundated?

Once the K-7 is down to about $700 you'll find the K20D for $400-500. In fact the K20D price looks to be going up in the UK. So don't hold your breath!

Why do you need to upgrade, anyway?

I saw alot of pentax lens goes up at les 20%, also a little for the body. i think you can find a refurb K20D for that price.

I had been wondering about the prices going up...I bought my K200D body for $450...now I cannot find one for close to that.

I did exactly the same thing when I bought my first K20D, kept multiple K20D's in my cart for about a month seeing price fluctuations almost daily before I pulled the trigger on one of them.

The second K20D was just eBay with Bing Cashback and eBay bucks.

A promo code would be nice. =)

I was wondering about bing, it seems I can get a measily 3% back at Adorama on the k20d, but its $10 more than b & h, so it would probably just even out.

Im quibbling over pennies here, I just need to "man-up" (hahaha) and hit the button.

Thought about a gently used one, but my luck, Id plop down 400+ nonrefundable bucks for a body that some kid dropped in the toilet while trying to take pics of his
impressive poo.

I bought on eBay with Bing it is still 8% then eBay until June 30 is offering 2% credit usable in July. So it works out to about 10.5% off. I was able to pick up a brand new K20D for about $605.

That is sounding pretty good. I'm sure at some point I will be looking at a K-7, but a second body (currently own the K10d) with the capabilities of the K20d for less than half the price is awfully tempting.

well, update for all those still shopping...
the cheapest I could find is no longer ebay, well unless there is something Im not seeing, totally possible.
there is some money back with B & H (2%?) and they are sitting at $659 for the body, free shipping.
A website called Photoloon has them for $639 and free shipping, but I don't know much about them as a company.
So, thats the cheapest so far...my search continues.

So just saw that Best Buy has K20d body only refurbs for $499... pretty sweet deal considering you get a factory warranty with it. Tempting to get a second at this price.... but I already have a k10 as a backup and a k110d as the backup to the backup
