K-7 User Manual

Ned Bunnell has posted an entry on his blog, NED BUNNELL, to a link to Scribd where he uploaded the K-7 User Manuag. The Scribd link to the manual is K-7 User Manual. If you want a copy in pdf format, you will need to sign for a free account.

hmm some interesting info in there, like live view only working for 5 mins (or less if camera temperature is hot)

I also uploaded the manual to a direct link HERE no sign up required

Thanks happyant !!!

I don't know why people bother using Scribd to distribute PDF's. Damn stupid idea if you ask me.

Roughly went through the manual, seems there are some differences between the final product's manu and the V1.0 firmware I got for the testing K-7. Got some extra stuff in the final menu, I'm guessing the V1.0 firmware for the testing camera isn't really the final version at all.

Can you expand on that Frank? E.g. are you sure you didn't see certain options for JPG because you were shooting RAW or vice versa?

yes!

It seems that long exposure NR can be turned off (other than in B mode, > 30 seconds...)

And the remote control F can be set to press once to open and press again to close the shutter in B mode!

Finally somebody listened!

Thanks for posting the PDF, I didn't much want to sign up for Scribd either. I am guessing that he posted it there because he didn't have enough storage on blogspot? I guess the other advantage is that people can read it without needing to have adobe reader or substitute installed?

It appears that they've also allowed MLU with IR remote, another "very good idea". I wonder whether wireless-P-TTL can finally be combined with IR-remote 3-second timer?

I'm kind of amused that impossible-to-find (probably discontinued a long time ago?) accessories like Magnifier Fb, Refconverter-A, and Diopter correction adapters 'M' are listed.

Okay, just went through the manual again, seems the only difference I can spot is that I see several more digital filters which are not shown in the testing K-7 even after the firmware was upgraded to v1.0. Hopefully all the rest should be the same
