K-7 Crooked Sensor

Saw this in the other forum ... might be worth checking your K-7. It appears that even with the crooked sensor, the pics taken are not crooked.

maybe it's attempting horizonal correction while the mirror is up :P

I'd say that red square on the bottom left of the lens mount holds both your problem and your answer.

you can rotate the sensor on the k7 and then you can put it back again...pretty cool

Yeah, what he said.

I think it's the design of the sensor and shake reduction system, whereby the sensor is allowed to free-float. When you're ready to take the shot, electromagnets are engaged that hold the sensor in the correct position; in addition, when SR is on, these electromagnets also move the sensor to compensate for any camera shake. Take the same photo, but with the K7D in the middle of an exposure, and the sensor should look straight.

Take a picture of your camera in a mirror... the bottom of the camera should be perfectly straight in the pic. If so, the sensor is straight.
