Got My K-7

Went to have a look at a K-7 at SRS in Watford, UK on friday and ended up with this bag of goodies...

K-7 + Grip + Extra Battery + The Kit Lens (Only £20 when bought with the camera!!)

Anyway Haven't had that much time to play with it in bright light as it was horrible today and I'm up at my grandparents.

I have lots of HD clips though so will be putting those up soon.

Here's some high iso photos mainly 1600 I think.

First impressions are this thing is awesome so much better than my K10D. Feels so much nicer in the hand even with-out the grip.

Only little thing that I'm finding annoying is the way the top panel either lights up while finding the correct exposure then turns off or you have it turned off altogether I much prefered the push the button method to turn the green light on, but meh maybe I'll find a way around this.

The screen is AMAZING!!! focusing is much improved and exposure is perfect! even in very low light, white balance is pretty much perfect.

All round great machine!!

Time to change your sig it seems

I would tell you how amazing the K-7 is, but I'm at the agonising battery charging stae at the moment. The next stage is verifying the absence of any green lines or other such abberations and then I can finally start enjoying this little wonder of design and engineering.

Yup changed the sig now, I have yet to discover any green lines etc so at the moment I'm pretty happy. Can't wait to do a real shoot with it.

He's no Flea.

Is that with the onboard mono mic? It is clipping pretty badly. The hotshoe mounted Rode stereo mic is the hot ticket.

Yeah it's the built in mono mic, it doesn't help that you can't contol audio levels at all. I'd love to get my hands on the rode video mic to try it out and also see how it handles a live gig as my friends are launching a single in two weeks and I'd love to record it on my new k-7 as well as take photos

Ed, I tried to buy The Joe Public EP on My Space and they say, cannot ship to France. Do they sell on iTunes?

Had a look at your web site...Some pretty spectacular images, especially in the music section..Really nice ED.

Sorry...

Thanks
