Here's what I did with K-7 video today

I thought almost every video on the K-7 screen looks funny when you fast forward it, and so did this one. So I took it apart and took 5/6 frames out of the first part and added unedited last part. To replace the boring sound of wind I found an excellent dubstep track from ccMixter, link on flickr. Voice your opinions

I like it. Funky sound track too. Hope to see you expand on this style of editing some more.

This was totally unplanned, more like a test video. I had so much fun editing this (and finding out how much creative commons licenced music there is for video use) that I'm gonna do more and maybe even make some plans beforehand. Maybe one video per photowalk or trip.

Editing was much easier than I thought. I use free software on Linux, Avidemux for this one.

Good work! I've done a similar thing with my K10d (a video made of single shots) - I mean the edit isn't very well done but it was my first try: mursurf on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

I think I have to give your idea a try too..

Which lens did you use?

There is flare on the bottom right corner and the sky is burnt on the upper left.

The editing is very cool, well done!

Great experiment.

Maybe this is trivial, but let me make the comment anyway ...

The first part (5 fps) could have been captured by the K-7 w/o using its movie mode. This is because the K-7 actually maintains full speed beyond the limit as stated in the manual if you set JPG quality to 1 star, have everything set to manual and use a fast SD card. Using LV will avoid the wear on the mirror (still shutter wear though -- but hey, still much cheaper than a 4k cinema camera ...)
