K-7 contineous shooting limited to 4 frames

My 2 week old K-7 does only take 4 frames fast, then the interval between the frames becomes 10 seconds or so.
This behavior is independent from the SD card (type 4 or 6), RAW or JPG, size of JPG, fast or slow shooting settings.
Can there be a camera setting that is blocking the rest of the buffer, or is the camera broken?
I'm on firmware 1.01
Any help is appreciated

The various autocorrection's will slow down the camera. Try to turn them off.

Kind regards

turn off AF C, or af all together.

this may be limiting things.

Also remember that not all class 6 cards are made equal. They range from 6MB/s to 45MB/s. I got the 30MB/s card because video was cutting off at about a minute and writing RAW+jpg was taking longer than I'd like. The card flushes the buffer quickly enough to allow the camera to continue shooting at 5 fps.

Agreed, sounds to me like CA and/or distortion correction is enabled.
