I was lucky enough that the first day I went out with my k100d, a fellow pentax shooter came up to me on the street to ask about my gear :-)

At the last Civil War reenactment, one Canon shooter commented on all the Pentax shooters (3 of us) at the event. "They're coming out of the woodwork!"

I might go out for sometime and have a chat with Jack. his boss branded him as a Pentax expert.

I might get some tips and stuff for him as well.

i've only seen one that I sold a cheap lens to on craigslist. I should've pointed him towards here.

I bought old lenses on craigslist but the guy uses canon for digital, and had a slr pentax.

I have seen some for sale/looking for pentax digital lenses.. almost wanted to email them to see what gear they had and become pentax buddies

I've seen a few Pentax shooters in real life, but nobody else with a flagship...ever. I went over to talk to someone with a K100D Super but they got scared.

It's also a bit depressing to see all the photographers who say 'Ooh, Pentax! I used to have Pentax! I love Pentax!' while showing off their D40 or 50D...I always let them have a play...try to lure them back.

I see Pentax bodies all over the place here...not as many as Canon and Nikon, of course, but I do notice the bright red "PENTAX" on neck straps from a mile away.

Yeah, it seems that Pentax is well implanted here in Europe...
From personnal feeling, I'd say they have a good 20% market share around here in France...

At least, I know as many Canikon shooters as Pentax lovers in my entourage (ok, I'm in a Pentax family, so am quite biased...).

I thought I had finally stumbled onto my first sighting the other day (& quite a handsome, striking fellow he was), but alas, it turned out only to be my reflection in a plate glass window.

I know lots of them ...but they are all shooting spotmatics! That is their serious camera, but they use a digital P&S for most of their snapshots these days.
