maybe the 7D announcement has something to do with this.
i'll be watching....
20 bucks is not much of a price drop. it's like paying a cab to go to a store and buy a K-7, eat a hefty lunch, then go way back home. a 200 dollar drop would be considered as significant drop.
That's true, but as I mentioned when I posted this price drop earlier (in the K-7 price watch thread):

yes, a 200 drop would be better, but $20 is a start, hopefully it'll be <$1000 by christmas.
The other day I saw one of the Amazon merchants offering the K-7 for $1250. Based on this, I'm guessing $1,100-$1,200 by Christmas won't be out of the question, although the price might jump back up again afterward.
Some here posted that the K-7 body will be selling for $899 by this September two months ago when I purchased my K-7 with $65 Bing cashback. I am glad I did not wait for that to happen since I had fun all summer with it.
Interesting - and this price appears to be for cameras sold directly by Amazon.
That is the case. That's the only thing about Amazon...if you're not used to dealing with them, you may not notice whther the seller on the product page is Amazon directly or one of their Marketplace resellers. But in this case, it's straight from Amazon. So that means free shipping for everyone, free two-day shipping if you're a Prime member, and it's from a trustworthy retailer with a good return policy.
So as I said earlier, looks like the price war has begun in earnest. And Amazon's latest volley is a massive strike. $130 drop in a day...not bad at all!
