I am confused about the focus indicator

The one folks are saying does not exist on the new multi colored pentax.

How do you know with MF lenses that you have focus? Is that the indicator that is missing?

I believe the green hexagon is still there. The red dots in the viewfinder are the only things missing.

Yup, it sounds just like the Km/k2000. The green hexagon pops up and, optionally, you can get the focus beep too.

Furthermore, K-x should show focus point indicators on the LCD. You just don't see them in the viewfinder.

Yes, in times like these, it is good to refer to the PF dictionary:

focus indicator (n)
1. marking in the viewfinder to indicate focus point (except Kx)
2. marking in the viewfinder to indicate focus lock
3. something for people to complain about

Oh wait, #3 fits most everything around here

Yes you are right... we are a batch o' complainers. But the way I was reading it, I thought they were describing the focus confirmation indicator. And as bad as my eyesight is getting, I need that with my MF lenses.

It's the one tiny fault with the new awesome camera that people have to obsess over.
