shutter count? k200d...

morning all.... i would like to determine the approximate shutter count on my k200d... i use picasa to download, but on 2 different computers... should i tally the count from both and would this accomplish my goal??
i.e... on my computer at work...my last pic is 'imgp5251.jpeg'... and i assume, hopefully correctly, that 5251 is the approx. shutter count..
any help would be greatly appreciated...

Dowqnload Photome, PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor

Take a shot and open it in the software. It will give you total clicks for camera.

5th section of manufacturers notes.

I agree that PhotoMe is the tool you want.
Remember that the counted number includes the number of activations done during build/quality-control by the manufacturer.
I believe on the K200D that is about 400. (?)
Also, I think that each time you use use the Digital Preview and DOF function that "counts" as a shutter activation.
The recorded shutter count will not match your IMG number.
So, "approximate" is the key word here!

There should be a shortcut on your desktop for PhotoMe, just double click or single click, whichever you have set your mouse to do, then use Open file in the left hand column, navigate to one of your photos, and it should open so you can see the photo.

See photo below:

With this option, does the photo stay online somewhere? See that would be my problem. My photos are not public viewed on the net. Even in here they aren't public, in photobucket they are locked, and in flickr also.

So, what’s the big deal? Take a picture of the floor or ceiling to upload to myshuttercount.
