I will order a K10D from B&H next week. I found the reviews posted on the b&h site interesting. One reviewer said the firmware upgrade improved image sharpness. So far from this site, I get the impression it did not.

Is there anything else I need to know.

if you find that you are unsatisfied with JPEG sharpness, just shoot RAW.

Heck, just shoot RAW anyway!

I shoot RAW now with my DL, but thanks for the suggestion.

You need to know that.... uh.... well, you need to know that you are going to have a lot of fun. It is quite an upgrade from any of the models before it. It is a bit heavier, but the joy of shooting it more than compensates.

I got my K10D a month ago. I LOVE IT. Had a borrowed nikon D50 before. Just as good pic quality and you'll be so impressed with it's functionality... I learn new and brilliant things about it every time I use it, it seems! (should have read the manual I guess!)

You will love it. Just give it some time. So much control over so many functions. Like a precision blade. Enjoy. Would have a hard time sleeping monday night.
thanks
