k20d dof in live view?

might buy a used k20d,does anybody know if DOF preview works (is visable) in live view?

I did not think the K20 has "live view" but you can get the DOF preview either in the view finder or on the LCD, both fairly useless I find

The live view is on the same lever as the dof preview, but it can only be assigned one of those functions at a time. Unless that can be changed with the USER mode or something, but I've never bothered learning that.

Good things about LiveView

At least in the K-x, DoF preview is a LOT better in liveview, probably because light is not siphened off for metering and AF like in the viewfinder.

Yes it is.

I find it very valuable when using the manual f/1.7 50mm prime; it allows me to focus to get it sharp and also to see how the bokeh looks at the same time.

Agree with BigG, I use Liveview occasionally to see DOF on my K20, and it also shows where you focused.
