Fresstyle usually is one of the cheapest
The store is in the LA/Hollywwod area, well worth a visit

Freestyle isn't bad. However, for certain film (Fuji Superia Reala, 100 ASA, 35mm 36 exp) I find that Adorama is significantly cheaper... 2.99 a roll versus 3.99 a roll. ** Excellent ** film too.

Another vote for Freestyle. Good service and a great variety, especially for black and white.

It's depending on what you need . Freestyle does carry more choices but you're are in CA so you have to that that into consideration . I'm partial to Fuji Reala myself so when I get something from adorama I just get a few extra rolls as for the same shipping charge ! Just pick out the film you like and calculate all the charges to compare .

On the other hand I pick up some good deal on expired films from the local store now and then . They are stored correctly so it's still okay to use .

One more option : dollar store film is quite good for BW conversion . Heck , some of them may even good on their own colors !

Yes! This ** does ** happen. The guy at my local Ritz knows I like Reala and just came through this weekend with 10 rolls for 99 cents each. Very slightly expired film that's now sitting in my freezer.

Well worth the trip to ask your local camera store about what they do with their expired film.

Yeah, my local Ted's does this as well. I bought some TMAX3200 that was a week outta date, and stored in the fridge, and they immediately said "Outta date. Half price."

The only downside is that it was TMAX3200...

I like buying film at Target. Wal-Mart's price (for Fuji) is about 50 cents less than Target, but Target is actually cheaper per exposure, as Target's 5-pack has four rolls of 24 and one roll of 36. Also, Target's 5-packs come with either a 50-cent or $1.00 coupon (for the purchase of another 5-pack).
