Suffice to say it'll never ever leave my camera bag ever.

IMO simpler and less fussy is just better on such a small body...

Chris
Somebody offered to give me a free MX for the price of shipping. Condition unknown, but shutter works fine.

Y/N?

Heck yes! Go for it! Shipping is nothing when yu get to use the MX. I have one and I love it! I just don't use it that much for the very reason of not having the equipment to precess and scan or print my own films.

Ha ha, we'll see.

I've kind-of blown my budget already. My girlfriend doesn't even know I bought the ME yet.

Before you buy another body, there's one thing first. Sorry for the shatty quality, my flash batteries can't hold a charge worth a crap so I couldn't stop down...

Scroll down, only if you're truly prepared...

'Ryan s' I see you have a zenitar 16mm, do you have any pictures taken with a film body and the zenitar to post? Have had an eye on this lens for some time now but I'm not sure if it is what I want, would really like to see some pics.

Btw 'ftpaddict' about the MX, there's really only one way to go here...

Yes, there is really one way - I'll get my ME cleaned, adjusted and foams replaced.

I have a feeling that, if I bought the MX, one of them would just sit on the shelf unused. So I'd rather have one top-notch classic camera, than two functional ones (second one I'm not even sure of).

I just couldn't refrain from trying this out.

The ME looks a bit ridiculous with the Tokina 70-210 attached. Clearly this is meant to stay a compact sysyem.

#1: Tipsy - The ME is resting on one side, because of the sheer girth of the telephoto lens

Pentax K100D, Carl Zeiss Jena 50mm f/2.8, ISO 3200, EV +0.5 < bought M42 adapter at last.

Look at the size of that thing!

Pentax K100D, smc Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7, ISO 1600

A couple of days to go until I finish the roll of film. I'm making this one count.

Jim, I just got the light seals/mirror damper/focus screen finished Sunday, and haven't even gotten an opportunity to buy film yet...much less to go out Soon, very soon...

Just for you man, just for you Can't you see I'm trying to push you over the edge? Everyone needs it

I will say something about the smaller bodies...anything too big reallllly upsets the balance. My 24-50 is almost too big...the Tamron SP 28-135 is huge and really unusable. It alone weighs 1lb I should have picked up that M 28/2.8 locally when I had the chance, to make a nice compact kit

just about every lens looks big on an M series body. here is my MX with smc-A 70~210 racked out. the smc-M 50mm thats usually mounted on it is for scale.

Impressive, and quite a bit longer than my beercan lens.

What? No zoom creep? That's preposterous!

The M-series looks best with a tiny pancake on.
