Found my old KM! :)

Well sometimes moving is a good thing. I've been busy sorting through odds and ends boxes in the shed at our new house (where things got stashed if they didnt have an immediate home in the house itself) and low and behold I came across an old camera bag this afternoon.

"Damn!" I thought... "I havn't seen that bag for years."

So I dusted it off and opened it up and there was the KM and the Sigma 39-80mm f3.5 (macro) lens that I thought my son had lost several years ago. It was in a box with a bunch of his stuff so I wasn't totally wrong, but who cares.

So now, I have the camera back that started it all and made me a Pentaxian...

YIPPPEEEE!

Think I'll run a roll of film thru it (though I think it probably needs a service appt)...

Similar experience

Mike,

I recently recovered my first "real" camera - a K1000, from a dear old friend. Just got it back from Eric Hendrickson, and it's working great! ~33 yrs old and all!

Great fun.

What is the equivalent in human-years for any of these Pentax(s)!!!
I mean do we function as well as those machines. I doubt if we'll be saying the same about our digital equivalents - will we?

Way to go Mike.

Congrats Mike. Isn't it always fun to find a "new" old toy. Look forward to pics.
