Inspired by the posts here, I have won an ME-F!

I just won this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=019

I blame seamuis.

I expect to sell the 40-80mm zoom lens and, perhaps, the LowePro bag. I do not know what type of flash is pictured there, but I will sell that, too. Please let me know if any of these items interest you.

I hope your ME-F is in good shape and needs nothing fixed or replaced, more importantly I hope you enjoy using it! I know I enjoy mine so far. Im glad I inspired you, I just hope you got a good camera because of it. I saw that very auction myself when searching for mine! I might just be interested in the lens if its in good shape and you sell it at a good price. =)

be cautioned that the ME-F uses 4 batteries not two like the ME super.

thats right, because I was inspired to seek out the ME-F after Dan showed off how happy he is with his ME.

I, too, hope it is in nice shape. It looks okay in the photos. I will know for sure, though, once I receive the camera.

seamuis: I will inform you of the condition of the lens.
ftpaddict: if you are interested in the bag, I can inform you of its condition.

Does it use the same batteries as the ME Super? Also, do you use the 1.5v (alkaline) or the 1.55v (silver oxide) battery? I wonder if there is any difference between the two. The 1.55v SR44 type is supposed to be a replacement for the earlier 1.5v battery.

Maybe we've started a chain reaction and ebay's supply of ME will dry out in the following weeks.

Though unlikely, it would be a fun prospect.

yes it uses the same batteries as the ME super. Im currently using 4 duracell 1.5v 357 silver oxide cell's. the energizer 357 silver oxides are 1.55v.

seamuis: do you use the 303/357 Duracell? I have been finding the 303/357 in my on-line searches so far. It is advertised as being a 1.5v battery. In my local "big box" stores (Target and Wal-Mart), I do not think I saw the Durcell. I know I saw the Energizer, and, indeed, it is a 1.55v battery.

For the right price. I would be interested in the flash.

Interesting ME - it is auto focus but only with one lens; the AF 35-70/2.8.
Now you have to find one of them to complete the kit!

By coincidence I saw this lens offer last night - seems a sleeper.

Maybe we can dry out the supply of ME's FS in our Marketplace - including mine!
