Repairing SF1 winding mechanism

I recently pulled an old SF1 out of a relatives garage and it's not working. When I first was playing with it I remember it fired once or twice without issue then all of a sudden appears jammed. It won't roll film. It otherwise looks to be in mint condition. The motor to roll the film starts up and tries to operate but the whole mechanical train seizes after small movement.

The mirror is up and the shutter curtains are closed. I think something has jammed or broken in the wind release meachanism. I'm far from an expert at these issues so any advice is most appreciated. I've pulled the whole thing apart to the point where the mechanism is encased by electrical circuits which I'm finding it rather difficult to release from the body.

Thanks to all,
Mike

Hi Mikey,

I had an issue with my MX winder last year and sent it to Home for repair. Eric who owns/operates the service turned the repair around very quickly and at a reasonable price. The winder came back working like it was new.

Good Luck,
Shawn

I was also going to suggest Eric Hendrickson - I just sent him a lens to lubricate the focusing helicoid. He does excellent work at a fair price, and backs it with an ironclad guarantee - and if the fix is not economical he'll tell you and ship your camera back no charge.
