Quick Question: Pentax KM screen replaceable with split-focus screen?

Possible or not (without having to resort to a custom-made screen)? I'd really enjoy having a split-focus screen instead of the microprism type.

According to the manual (available at pentaximaging.com), the KM was available with either a microprism or split-image screen. Custom screens supposedly are supported (inferring interchangeable screens). Availability might be a problem though.

Edit: The version of the KM manual at pentaximaging.com indicates that custom screens are available, while other downloadable manuals (e.g. http://www.lensinc.net/manuals/Pentax_KML.pdf ) do not.

That's certainly good news. I do hope I could find a split-focus screen for this one. Thanks!

My KX came with a split-image; I had Eric replace it with a microprism.
He may still have the old one. If you'd consider shipping to Tennessee, send him an email.
He may also have the nicer top and bottom covers you're looking for.

Okay, I'll send him an e-mail tonight to ask if he still has split-focus screens for it. But I'll be playing around with the paint thing first if ever.
