ME with a few lenses - price?

I threw out a feeler looking for a K or M body on a huge motorcycling site I frequent, and received a few nice responses from members looking to clean out their cupboards.

Any idea what the going price for an ME with a winder, 50 1.7, 30mm 2.0, 100m 2.8, ATAN 70-210 would be?

I like the idea of all those primes and the nice big viewfinder of the ME. Competing offer is a K1000 with a Vivitar 70-210 Macro, apparently a nice lens.

Primary use will be street, landscape and nature with a blend of color and b&w. Just a compliment / contrary experience to the K200D and a chance to learn film

Appreciate any advice. No reason I couldn't buy both, I guess.

Well, if you can buy both, why not?

Like what JC said, though, be wary of fungus and all that. If you can get them to e-mail photos, much better.

Good points all the way around. I have seen picutures of both, owners both claim recent use was successful. I have a good photo shop in town that could help me thru any issues if some arose.

Thanks much for the opinions!

The 30/2.0 and 100/2.8 by themselves are pretty rare and with stellar repuations, and therefore valuable. If they're in decent shape: you lukcy bastard

I ended up buying an all black ME with a winder, 30 2.0, 50 1.7, 100 2.8, 2x teleconverter and filters, all with caps/hoods/cases.

Then I bought the silver/black K1000 with 50 1.7, Vivitar 70-210 macro, pentax auto-robo flash, cable release, with some filters and whatnot.

I hadn't intended to buy all this stuff, but both packages looked nice. I now need to step away from the internet for a while.

I'm assuming it's the K30mm f2.8. A very good lens and quite rare. So fess up and tell us how much. That lens alone is worth over $125.00

You need to post some shots too.

I dropped 300 on each package. I figure I'm 50-100 heavy on each one, but at the same time, I was looking to buy, not waiting for a sale, and needed shipping to bumble**** nowhere saskatchewan, so no worries there. Provided everything functions as promised I'll be a happy camper.

I'll post some pics when everything arrives...

I guess, in the end. I couldn't come up with a reason not to.

The ME set is a fair price. Of course 2 ways to look at this stuff. If you use it and get great results the price is more than reasonble considering you'd pay over $750 for new comparable stuff. The other is resale value. The 30mm is easily worth $125 and on a good day would get $200. The other lenses add up to more than what you paid. So not bad.

The K1000 is harder to evaluate. The cameras go for $50 in good working condition. If the Vivitar 70-210 is the Series one version 3 model, you scored a great lens. If it's one of the earlier versions they are very good as well. I suspect it's not one of the newer ones due to the K1000's age. These are rated 5,6 out of 10. So depending on the version, the lens is worth $50 or maybe as much as $175-200. Was there anything else included with the K1000?
