First shots with a film camera. PZ1p and Kodak ultramax 400. Lens was a Pentax K 50mm f/1.4. Random stuff around house

Thanks for the comments on this image folks...I was wondering if anyone would have noticed I flipped it 180 degrees. It is actually upside down. I think I am going to print it this way for my office.

Steve, I did read the comment, but did not realize you noticed it was upside down.

It has given me some new ideas to try.

That is what I get for attempting subtlety...Hmmmph...

I like that (with moderation).
I did the same thing with one of my digital image and it kept people wondering...

Cheers,

Thanks!

And yes I did notice the watery sky in that shot.
In fact I did the same with one of my pictures except that the water was even more still than in yours. Hardly anyone noticed despite the obvious fact that there was something wrong with the perspective which meant the photo would have to have been taken under water.

Just shot my first roll of slide film...

Kodak Elite Chrome 200, ME Super, FA50 1.4

Wow am I impressed. Have read other people's raves about slide film on the forum. They weren't exaggerating.

Best,
Kevin

Nesster, that 160NC looks great and the photos are stellar. I just loaded a roll of 160VC today. I'm a total film noob and am working my way through the different films I want to try.

I'm not really happy with how soft my posted slide images are. Originals are waaay sharper. Picasa resize is doing a number on them, I think.

Anyhoo, I consistently enjoy your film posts, whatever your shooting. You even made that Superia 400 look good...something I haven't managed to do yet

Best,
Kevin

wow excellent.

thanks Kevin - the Superia needed a bit of levels work to start looking OK... I far prefer Ultramax.

How did you scan the slides? I found slide scanning required a whole different learning curve than negatives. I actually prefer negatives.
