EliteChrome 200 - Any Tips?

I just picked up a roll of Kodak Elite Chrome 200 from work, because it was only a buck and it's been expired since last February. So, my first question is how bad is that, exactly? What will a year of expiry do to slide film? It's been kept at room temperature on a shelf; only reason why it's still here is we didn't notice it was expired (and, as you might have guessed, we don't sell a lot of slide film anymore).

Also, is there anything I should compensate for when taking slide film, either just because it's slide film, or because it's old?

Thanks for the input.

Can't say I've shot expired slide film, but you can expect a color cast in the result, depending on whether it was refrigerated or not. I've heard some on APUG mention a decrease in speed in older films, but I have no idea honestly how that would affect something like this.

All I know is that (fresh) Elite Chrome 200 pushes reasonably well to 400
