Last shot on this roll of Ektar. I scanned the negative myself. Luckily not something important. I'll have to start telling the lab that I'm gonna scan the negatives, so please be careful.
Let me ask you, since color film has an orange colored mask, does the scanning software remove that mask when providing you with your positives? Or is that something you need to do post processing? I've noticed that your colors are very good so either the software does a good job or you do. Which is it?
The software does it all. There's even film presets for different films, called NegaFix. Just choose what film you're scanning and the software does all the work.
Jeez, that's horrible! I'm really jaded by labs now. My local walgreens ruined some film (a lot of it). You might want to find another lab if your film gets treated that way. And go back for a refund!
