Keppler on Program Plus and Cosmicar

Keppler mentions Pentax made the Cosmicars - and in '84 he has seen a 28/2.8, 35-70 f/4 macro zoom, and a 70-200 f/4 macro zoom. The 28 was Taiwanese and the zooms Japanese made. Brand name: CPC Phase 2. CPC stands for Combined Products Corp, an importer of third party lenses.

Nesster,

Is that out of PopPhoto or the last throws of Modern?

I'll give ol' Herb a pass here; LCD displays were new then and we didn't know their foibles...

August!?

No, the Keppler was in the March 1984 issue of Modern Photography - look for it on your news stand

on the cover - a Kodak 8mm video camera that gives you 90 minute movies on your TV set... Pro Kodachrome produces even Better Slides... A new Pentax (that would be this Keppler article- guess the dude had some pull back then)... and on Modern Tests, Nikon FA: Sensation or Big PR Hype?

Perhaps that's the issue they reviewed the Pgm Plus and lenses...
