So these ones are the expensive ones? How much extra do they usually go for?

They are not on the market yet; the price is not known.

Hi Mo

There's also an English version at: http://www.digital.pentax.co.jp/en/lens/roadmap.pdf

For most of us it's a lot easier to read

The one I want most (and which I have hoped for) is the 60-250. I have now the 70-210, but, while it's quite good optically, I don't like the push pull zoom very much... f/4 is more than enough for my needs and together it will make a nefty lens for travelling... I saw it at the Kina behind glass, and it's quite compact for its' range. How the price will be ok.

Yeah, the DA 17-70mm and DA 55-300mm are two reasons I've been sticking with the existing DA 18-55mm "kit" and DA 50-200mm lenses for now.
I've been tempted to drop more for the DA 16-45mm and Sigma DC 17-70mm, but I'm finding the DA 18-55mm is adequate enough (and one of the best kit lenses out there, period).
I also have a Zenitar 16mm Fisheye I have to get the infinite focus fixed on -- it's great for close-ups, but the focus issue isn't good for scenery right now.

Push-pull has its benefits too. It might look a bit unweildy in today's standards but you can control both the zoom + focusing action + lens support at the same time.

If that 17-70mm is F4 constant... man what a pair it would make with the DA*60-250/4.

Pentax please make it F4 throughout!

Cheers,
-Asad

You didn't remove the plain glass "filter" by any chance? Pretty sure you will lose infinity focus with it gone.

Tell you what.

After shooting a F-22, a F-15 and the Blue Angels F-18s, with the DA 50-200mm at f/5.6 and a 400mm prime at f/5.6, it would be very nice to have to have a f/4.
I just couldn't get a constant 1/1000th shutter speed without sacrificing many things, and 1/350 was pretty difficult with a polarizing filter.

So I'm damn interested in the DA*60-250mm now, or even the DA*300mm for that matter.
