Zoerk Multi-Focus Unit

I've been enjoying myself toying with the Zoerkendorfer with Rodenstock 105 mm enlarger lens on my 67II's.

Anybody else playing with this unit? Any tips...ie regarding aperture selection when trying to keep the shutter speed high yet not lose too much dof.

I did find some 40.5 mm filters--polarizer and warming--any hot ideas on lens accessories?

The sharpness is more than adequate, quite impressive actually, yet it seems like a very simple lens design--only 4 or 5 diaphram blades, not a zillion element design, though it is APO and renders colors very well. Anyone with good knowledge to impart regarding enlarger lenses? Why does this thing work so well, yet seem so simple?

I've read some rudimentary descriptions regarding large format photography and the use of tilt, shift, swing etc. Because the Zoerk works around a circular hub, it really doesn't offer the true range of movements. I hate to admit it, but it's like a lensbaby with a killer lens isn't it...or am I more lost than I think?

Chat me up please!

P.S. Zoerk now offers adapters to get this unit to work on digital bodies. Not something I'm likely to pursue, but some folks might...
