400 Takumar Lens Hood

For owners of the 400mm Takumar (6x7), I have what seems like a strange lens hood and wanted to see if mine is as it is supposed to be or if I have an odd ball. My hood will not extend all the way out unless I turn it to get it into a channel which allows it to fully extend. Once extended and turned, the hood will lock there unless you turn it, to bring it back to the channel. Do all 400 Takumars do this? My 300 and 600 Takumars sure don't do this.

Whatever position does it have, my hood can be fully extended.

But I don´t have front cap (I guess it is 108mm?). It was not provided with the lens and I really need it, as red interior of lens bag, it has come with, is already loosing small red parts and I must alway clean front lens :-(

Thanks Therion. My 400 must be a prototype. I also noticed that mine didn't have a rear light baffle like normal 400s do. I made one several years ago. The front cap for this lens is black leather with a red interior. They are rare! The inside diameter is about 113mm. You might have to make one.
