Pentax 645D Weathersealed?

So its supposed to be here early 2010.

Now do we think it will be weathersealed? That'd be pretty cool.

To be a feasable option it will need either tethering or preferably wifi transfer for studio work.

I can't wait to see some samples photos showing the great dynamic range the sensor should capture.

Is the 645D suppose to be better at light range than the less then stellar digital performance we're seeing today?

Where did the "early 2010" info come from???

My K100D is getting a bit long in the tooth and I'm saving the fun-dollars up to upgrade to a K-7 within the next few months ....... but if it really does look like the 645D is a reality in the near future, then I'd definitely save a bit longer and go with that option.

Pentax K-x Hands On

(k4) Pentax 645D in early 2010! | k-rumors

Ned Bunnell says the Pentax 645D is coming!?!?!

It was also mentioned before the K-X came out that they were aiming for a 2010 launch. Remember this is initially japan only though.

.... what a dilema!!

I know for certain that if I buy a K-7 the 645D WILL come out not long after and I'll be kicking myself for spending the $$ of the 7.

However - I also know that with my luck, if I wait for the 645D there will set-back, after set-back, after delay, after excuses .....etc and I'll still be shooting with the K100D at the end of next year.

There's no way I can afford both .... then again at an estimated/rumoured "under $10K" the 645D will most likely be out of my reach and the K-7 will have to do in the mean time.

Anyone want to sponsor me in buying a K-7 to help make the 645D a reality?

Might not have the best "business head" .... but I'm pretty sure that's not the best deal for me :P

Or maybe you'll be happy to have the extra $9000 bucks to spend on lenses and accessories for the K-7. ;-)

There were some Mamiya ZD backs being sold as refurbished units for under $4,000 USD. I wonder then how low could the Pentax 645D go? The number of 645 series users in Asia is supposed to dwarf that of North America and Europe, so the Japan introduction (at first hopefully) makes sense.

Wait 5 or 10 years and you'll find one really cheap. 8-)
