K200D main competitor?

Could this be K200D's main competitor?

Sony A200 due to be announced in the next few days.
There is some doubts about the 10.2 MP marking as some has suggested that it would be a 12 MP camera.

The RAW button is however something I wish for, and what's that green button? User programmed?
The 4-way direction keys are used when you are in the menues to select options. They are also used in play-back mode. The K10D does not have different functionality to the 4-way controller than the K100D. Pentax uses the Fn (Function) button with 4-way controller to access many functions.

The green button is for program-reset function, and it acts like the green button does on the K10D.
In manual mode, it functions as the AE-L button did on the K100D.

Roland, what he means is probably that they're not assigned to any function, when you turn the camera on and are in the normal shooting mode.
IMO doing this would be a mixed blessing though, because you can accidentally press them quite easily.
What would be a good assignment anyway? ISO is on the wheel ...

Selecting AF points would be a great function... but wait that's what I use them for all the time now...

It's fake. This photo had been posted in july of 2007. Sony/Minolta fans said that it's fake. It's preproduction version of body of A700.

Accepted?

Tim, my comment was not directed at you so no need to apologize.

In general (not at you Tim) I just want to say if somebody goes off-topic suggest him to start a new thread and discuss it there in stead of keep discussing it in the original thread. As long as it is an argumented discussion I, as a forum user, can't really object to it. Anyway I'm no admin here so not my call, I just don't underestimate people capability to make up their own mind.

I like this forum, lot's of knowledgeable people and interesting discussions, I don't see anyone here seriously ruining that or able to "divide this forum". If forum rules are offended I'm sure the admins will act.

I find it very distracting. There are so many good threads going down in noise because of this.

:-) Tim
Oh my - do I really second this request - Just do as I have done (for the first time in many years of the web) block this guys posts and get on with photography and speculation rather than flames

The main question about K200D - no ISO button,
is there quick access to ISO. 400D has ISO and WB button, D40x has more simplier operation. I'd like to see K200D with quick access to ISO.

OK button is pretty quick ISO access... if it can be configured for it of course... Or perhaps the new green button may serve this purpose after customization. At least there's one button more... Though I don't like two buttons on top of the camera (I prefer them on the back as I find my thumb easier to find them than my index finger)...

I hope that Sv or RAW button or OK or green buttom could be configured for it.
Anyway, I have been waiting for something like K200D to replace my old DS.
WB button - I don't care.

anybody know if those are owned by Pentax? a netcraft survey just says that the netblock owner is 'Sakura Internet', which seems to be a big hosting company in Japan.
