Very interesting.
I see that it has a green button, and I like the lens release button.
Plus it's a little sleeker design than the K100.
Other than that it looks like the same basic camera. But why mess with a design people already love

I can't wait to test drive one when they come out

Photoshop IMO. It's a K100D with a couple of K10D elements (front of the grip notably). Move on folks, nothing to see here.

It appears to come from a server of an advertising agency, and they forgot to protect the files.
Not 100% sure of course.

I don't undertstand why the four-way direction keys are still not assigned to any function. Canon 400d has this, even Olympus E-500 (of my housemates)! Does that mean I should get a K10d or K20d? I wonder. These all three cameras (400d, E-500 and K100d) are for beginners, right?
The RAW button is however something I wish for, and what's that green button? User programmed?

I don't know what the mf/af and shake reduction buttons look like on the current k100d, but these buttons look to be an improvement on the k10d buttons of the same. I fumble with the small lever type button on the k10d, these look much better!

So body/function changes:

- Green button
- Raw button (means RAW+JPG hopefully)
- Sv mode
- K10D style grip
- 3' LCD?

Unfortunately no front dial. Also no TAv.

Looks very fake, the pentax logo and the wording K200 on the front picture is a dead give away IMO.

I'm not so sure.

www.portraillo.de - /ftp_Pentax/K200D/

Check 1013 and 1014, you would have to have no life, to come up with shops that good.

EDIT: Ok, link went bogus, guess some one finally woke up.

With an improved 10 mp sensor inside this provides most of the functionality of the K10 in a smaller box.

I hope your wrong, unless they use a new sensor that can do 10mp at ISO 3200 with the same noise the K100D has. If they don't, they are removing one of the main qualities of the camera...

Couldn't agree more, K10D features with K100D body size is nice, but K10D features with K100D high ISO IQ would be way more important to me. Guess we have to wait and see how it performs.

BTW, does pentax has any development center / factory or anything in Germany?

Those big shots look convincing (but not impossible to fake), but why would it have a postcard written in german on it?

There were about 20 images in there, I agree nothing is impossible, but to fake 20 images that good would require quite an insane amount of time.

Well if it is a German advertisement agency working for Pentax than it wouldn't be very strange.
