Images made with K20D

As you all know Pentax had a press conference in Dubai for invited people only. Among the invited was also a moderator of Slovenian photo site. He posted a photo essay about the desert near Dubai where they were given cameras to play with. Since this was Pentax event I bet they were using Pentax cameras and I believe some images were made with K20D. The author wouldn't tell which and he also removed exif due to NDA.
So here's a picture linked to the photo essay:

P.S.
only images named IMGP####.jpg (most of them) are made with Pentax cameras

Interesting, how do you know they are k20d though. The sky is completely white... high iso doesnt look very good but thats no big surprise with 14mp on apsc. looks like they were playing with action so faster fps and af are my thoughts. but that doesnt really match well with what pentax focuses on. interesting nonetheless

Mmm I tried to zoom on the camera but too low res to see anything ...

Thanks for those images, I suppose you can't say anything but I will suppose they were done at Iso 100.

Very very interesting.

Well, the setting looks right, there's pentax gear... finally, something solid...

re: the camera - the guy has two cameras around the neck, one is covered by the jacket. I'm guessing that's the mythical beast

LE: nope, I'm wrong, that's the badge strap

They look nice to me. Tough colors and subjects to work with, and for the most part they look to be typical pentax style with colors and tones. I like them. I do see the pentax badge strap around the one guys neck, so maybe these are legit pics.

Either way, they look nice. And for ISO 6400, the pics are good and the noise looks okay.

I'm going to be the first to say it, but please don't shoot me. The high-ISO pictures totally have clear vertical pattern noise. We're never going to hear the end of it on the forums.

Now that you mention it, I see it too. I think I must have poor monitors here at work, because it looks like I'm the only one that thought the shots looked nice. hehehehe

To me ISO 6400 looks between 1600 and 3200 of my K110d....and it's nothing that a bit of lightroom cannot suppress in a second...there would be room for a 12800 ISO for real emergency situations
Then action Autofocus seems perfect in the quads shots.

This thing [wathever it is] will rock!

Sky doesn't look completely white to me, except in one of two shots. If the sky is pale and gray in real life there isn't much the camera can do about it. I think the images are veery nice. Could be processed a little better for my eye, but nice all the same. Exif would help confirm things a bit, but I wouldn't expect that at this time.

History : Weather Underground

That matches up -- it was indeed cloudy/overcast in Dubai on the evening of January 11th.

The pictures in general look great to me, don't get me wrong. And I don't care if ISO 6400 turns out to be a stop further than usable -- it looks like ISO 1600 on my K10D, so that's still a two-stop improvement.

Remember that this is beta firmware and hardware. If you recall, the first photos by K10D leaked showed terrible banding and noise even at ISO 800.
