...unfortunately it also sounds like (based on your comparison of it with canon and nikon models) it is going to be way out of my price league (and probably a lot of amateur togs).
I don't think Ben is talking about a K20D here. This sounds like the professional model quite a few of us have been hoping for. I'd say there's no way this thing can be anything less than 10fps. 3 year old Canon 20D technology was at 7fps. This Pentax will have to bring it to be on par with the 1D MkIII!

He isn't talking about FPS or AF speed. He is talking IQ.
I think most important hinder in the higher FPS was the slow AF of the pentax cameras. Even with 3 FPS, the camera can barely keep up with the shoting speed.
If you had 5-7 FPS and with the safox VIII AF performance, half of them would be out of focus and it would be a shame for Pentax. Now, if the AF problem is solved, the rest is just a larger buffer.

Too true.
It would be nice to have Cl & Ch like Nikons. That way the people that say FPS isn't an issue can stick to say 3, whilst I rattle them off at 6.
I have to officially disagree with the statement that live-view is a gimmick. I shoot house interiors for a company that builds houses, and I'm using my tripod a lot. rarely is my camera set at normal eye level, and oft times I have to put my body into very convoluted shapes in very confined areas to get a look through the viewfinder, so a live-view lcd would be a back- and knee-saver. 'course, thats all OT, so to be on topic,
Thanks so much Ben! That is a very tantilizing glimpse at the latest and greatest, and my wallet is not near fat enough
