Now that the dust has settled, it's time to find out...
This was one of the first shots on the web supposed to be from a K20D. We haven't seen detail like that coming from it, so what camera do you think it was? 1Ds? a HB?

Don't know about your K20D but mine takes more detail than that... yours must be bust like Phils.

we can see sub-pixel detail (like the A/C grill on that sample)? Thanks.
The A/C grill on that sample shows pixel, not subpixel detail. The pixel spacing coincides with the grill's spacing and the contrast is low.
Because the RAW converter misinterpreted some of the edges to be vertical rather than horizontal (*), we can even logically deduce that this is at the RAWs native resolution Of course, could still be a 100% crop from a larger sensor...

(*) A typical RAW conversion error at pixel-sized line structures.
now these are crops, unaltered just straight conversions from raw in light room, in light room auto settings to. ( the last one is a bit noisey due to something I did in the raw conversion tho, but not sharpened other than the lightroom default ).
And I have seen much better in other K20D images other there
I like your first image very much. Is there a chance that you post the (downsized) original as well? Also EXIF data is missing. lens/iso/aperture/shutter?
