I think Live view with a tilt screen would be very beneficial for K2000D..It would compete not with Entry level DSLRS but also with High end Prosumers....

Also, K2000D's AUTO settings need to work very well, i.e. straight out of camera jepgs etc should look steller punchy - like those from the K200D.. not much scope for customization, PP..also, the trademark underexposure of Pentax needs to be given a break (at least of K2000D)..

But seriously, issue is not about products..Issue is about marketing..Young people need to be made aware of a brand called Pentax which can give them quality of a Canikon at much cheaper cost..

Agreed for the most part but :

* isn't the K200D already a lot less "underexposuring" than the K10D/K20D?

* I doubt Pentax will put anything else than the Sony 10Mpix CCD into the K2000D. The Samsung 14.7Mpix or derivate with Liveview would be excellent but somehow I doubt it...

Do you plan on sharing any info with your fellow forumers, or are you just bragging?

I don't need to know the details but only your reaction if the camera you have seen is legitimate: are you happy with what Pentax has delivered now? If so, moderate happy or extremely happy? That's all I want to know

I think we need a dedicated rumors section, so that the real news can be kept separate.

I keep coming back to these postings in the vague hope someone has some real news. Wrong again.

Speculation is fine, but it's tedious in a news section, no?

Would you like to reveal your source, or do you enjoy leaking this stuff slowly?
Sorry, but this style of communication is somewhat annoying... lol

Well that sounds plausible then. A lot of people wanted a Limited body for their Limited lenses. Small lenses = small body. Good move, if this is for real.

The Pentax *ist D Limited?

Please, do not ruin the surprise that Pentax is preparing. With the news they have, they deserve to make the announce first and for it to be a surprise.

That would be TOO small I think. What about a ME-D? After all, the ME and ME Super were bestsellers at that time...

(The ME-Super with the SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 was my first Pentax)
