arg... the amazon page is gone now. did any one see the weight?
i'd love to step up from the K100D to the K-M as a travel camera. Just the K-M + DA*55 would be quite the combination for me.

I think theses new lens are way overpriced. The tamron 70-200 f2.8 sell for nearly 50 % less is FF and faster.

A new entry body is nice for gaining market share, but what for us K10D owners ?
Thoses like me who buy it 2 years ago need a refresh and that's clearly not the k20d.

I've hopes for a new advanced body, not necesseraly FF but an D300 type should fit perfectly. It's sad but I really thinking to move to nikon now.

Pentax is really going crazy.

I used the 20D at a show and just loved using it but i simply cannot imagine carrying it for a day. It is super useable though, they have that thign sorted that's for sure.

If they refine the sensor, add a larger screen, improve the FPS, add movie mode (along with proper live view) and improve the SR then I guess they could call it a K30.

I agree! I've had the K10D for a while and I'm starting to notice that it's not always taking photos, and those that it does take are getting crappier every day. I must need a new body. Yeah, that's got to be it...

Sarcasm OFF.

Wrong. This lens is to replace a classic 85mm portrait lens. FF is not in Pentax's plans. Get over it.

the K20D isn't that much heavier / bigger than the K100D. the difference is like 200g which is like one kit lens

But it also means smaller than the E-520, which is still pretty little.

BTW, what is the point to make sealed cheap body when cheapos DA L kit lenses will leak water and dust through all holes?
Yeah, that seems like a customer service disaster waiting to happen. I'm surprised to not see a weather-sealed kit lens.

I rarely look at mine. I want the information to be in the viewfinder, and if it's not important enough to be there, I don't care if it's on the back LCD screen.

excuse me? get over what? do you know me? Im not pushing full frame, I have my MX and film for that. try not making an ass of yourself by making stupid assumptions.

I was talking about does it cover the full 24x36mm frame. from what I understand at 55mm it should, thus making it possible to use on a PZ-1p I was thinking of purchasing. I wasn't asking if this lens is meant as a FF lens for such a future body. *******.<- ill leave you to guess what that said.

by the way does cowtown mean Ft. Worth? if so I definitely don't like you now, that's my hometown.

Faster AF ?
AF tracking ?
No banding at high iso ?
Hi res LCD ?
Possibly more fps ?

Yeah that's just nikon.

@Miserere

Actually, I've send my K10D to pentax for repairs, so no, it doesn't make any photos. Moreover, banding and titled pictures is not what I expect from an DSLR sorry.
