I can hardly think of Pentax inventing a new AF system with a technique not in use by other makers. But it would be nice to be completely surprised

Nope, there is a third posibility that doesn't imply MF. At least that was on the test camera and I am 99% positive it will remain. Like I said before many people mistake this camera with a neutered and compressed K200D while in fact it isn't.

Es reichte nicht aus einfach einen Adapter hinzu zu fügen, sondern es musste die ganze Konstruktion geändert werden. Und es ist ein Schmuckstück geworden. Es ist ein optischer Leckerbissen geworden, der eine ausgezeichnete optische und mechanische Qualität bietet. Das Objektiv wird bei ausgesuchten Handelspartnern noch vor Weihnachten erhältlich sein. Die Preisempfehlung beträgt 1.299,- Euro. Ebenfalls aus der DA*-Serie kommt das smc DA* 55 mm / 1,4 SDM. Ein lichtstarkes Porträtobjektiv erster Güte. Ein wunderbares Werkzeug für alle, die das Spiel aus Schärfe und Tiefenschärfe lieben. Die hohe Qualität wird u. A. erreicht weil eine neue Vergütung verwendet wurde. Dies alleine ist noch kein Garant für gute Bilder, aber durch hochwertigste Gläser werden Abbildungsfehler auf ein Minimum reduziert. Auch die Streulichtblende wurde für dieses Ziel optimiert. Auch dieses Objektiv wird bei ausgesuchten Handelspartnern noch vor Weihnachten erhältlich sein. Die Preisempfehlung hierfür beträgt 549,- Euro. In keiner Ausrüstung eines Macrofotografen darf ein Blitzgerät für den Nahbereich fehlen. Und wenn schon Blitz im Nahbereich, dann doch ein Ringblitzgerät. Mit dem neuen AF160FC kommen wir dem Wunsch vieler Fotografen nach einem Nahbereich tauglichen Blitzgerät nach. 4 Blitzröhren können paarweise geschaltet werden und erreichen eine maximale LZ von 16. Ein besonderes Detail ist das Einstelllicht, welches den Bildaufbau erleichtert. Selbstverständlich ist auch dieses Blitzgerät kompatibel zu allen älteren PENTAX SLR-Systemen. Für das Blitzgerät gilt das gleiche wie für die beiden Objektive, es wird noch vor Weihnachten bei den meisten Händlern noch vor Weihnachten erhältlich sein. Die Preisempfehlung wird bei 399,- liegen. Von vielen PENTAX Fotografen wurde eine typische PENTAX Kamera im Einsteigersegment erwartet. Diese Aufgabe war nicht einfach. Volle PENTAX Leistung, wie z.B. Metallchassis, Shake Reduction , Metallbajonett und eben die Qualität, die man von PENTAX erwartet, zu einem möglichst günstigen Preis. Mit der PENTAX K-m haben wir einen Kompromiss gefunden, der alle Forderungen abdeckt. Klein, leicht, einfach zu bedienen, typische Merkmale einer Spiegelreflexkamera, robust, hochwertig ausgestattet und gut zu bedienen. Dieses und vieles mehr wird von ihr erwartet, und sie enttäuscht die Erwartung nicht. Viele Fotografen steigen extra von der Kompaktkamera auf, um endlich wieder einen Sucher zu haben, da ist es selbstverständlich, dass dieser bei der PENTAX K-m groß, übersichtlich und hell ist. Allerdings soll die Bedienung einfach wie bei einer Kompakten sein. Bei der PENTAX K-m ist es sogar noch einfacher. Im Zweifelsfall steht auf Tastendruck eine eingebaute Bedienungsanleitung zur Verfügung und erklärt die Funktionen der Kamera. Jeder kann die PENTAX K-m so benutzen, wie es am besten passt. Motivprogramme für einfache Benutzung oder DNG-Raw Format für aufwändige Fotografie – hier ist alles möglich. Alles und immer, denn zusammen mit den beiden neu gestalteten Objektive DA L 18-55 mm und DA L 50–200 mm gehört die Kamera zu den absoluten Leichtgewichten dieser Klasse. Es gibt also künftig keine Ausrede mehr die Kamera immer dabei zu haben. Die beiden Objektive entsprechen weitestgehend den namensgleichen Objektiven der DA Serie, verfügen aber über das gewichtssparende Kunststoffbajonett. Die PENTAX K-m gibt es im Zoomset mit dem DA L 18–55 mm. Für eine Preisempfehlung von 499,- Euro und im Doppel-Zoomset mit dem DA L 18-55 mm und DA L 50–200 mm für 599,- Euro. Die Kamera wird ab November im Handel erhältlich sein. Zur photokina wurde auch die Roadmap aktualisiert. Hierzu passend werden auf der photokina erstmalig ein DA 15 mm Limited, sowie ein Telekonverter zu sehen sein. Hierfür gibt es noch keine Preise und Termine. Wir rechnen für Frühjahr /Sommer mit de Markteinführung. Mit diesen Neuheiten zeigt sich der eingeschlagene Weg von PENTAX sehr deutlich auf.
