K30D will use a new CMOS APS-H instead of APS-C, still 14 mp, improve AF speed, also in dark area, better ISO control, 14 mp in 3.5/per second and 6.5/per second with 6mp, with new AF assist.
K300D will be with new CMOS developed with Samsung
Pentax will make new versions of lenses:
16-45/4 II SDM
FA28/2.8 II,
FA35/2 II SDM
FA50/1.4 II SDM
FA85/1.8 SDM
new
FA *24 / 2 II SDM,
FA *28-70/2.8 SDM
I DOUBT IT
If only new sensor will have APS-C mask...Or it will be some kind of new sensor.
I don't know. FA - because it will be the old FA lenses with new design of body and with SDM and weather resist. Maybe Pentax will make FF camera.
I have no any information - just which I posted above.

Love these wild speculations! The k30D is however what I would consider the perfect answer for me. If it is the same size as the K10D and has a usable LV I'd stretch my budget for it.
No, it will be APS-C, with 1.5x instead of APS-H with 1.3x.
The current lenses are for APS-C focal lengths, not APS-H. We don't need more confusion here. Pentax has already stated that they will stay with APS-C.
APS-H is an old rumour that refuses to die. Ever since the K10D, the rumours about advanced amateur/semi pro cameras has included an APS-H sensor. And it has still not happened.
About new 24-70 f/2.8 - haha.
The 16-50 f/2.8 covers that already, but for APS-C.
A 16-50 f/2.8 MkII is much more likely than a 24-70 f/2.8.
I believe someone simply consued the MkII of the 16-50 for being a new 24-70.

Pentax has a large lines of APS-C's lenses and APS-H was the temporary (stopover) sensor for Canon's cameras. Leica M8 has it. But no doubts that Leica will launch S2 and new FF camera in 2008 and 2009. And APS-H will be
history format IMO
I think that K30D will be with new revision of K20D's sensor with higher fps and new AF system. Maybe new body.
K300D can be with new CMOS sensor, but not 14.6 Mp.

On dpreview isteve mentioned it will be smaller than the k20D. He has a good history of having some inside info. He also thinks it will be an APS-C sized sensor. Given the other mentioned improvements it doesn't make a lot of difference to me what size the sensor is. An APS-H would be preferred but I'd buy it either way as long as the AF system can equal my Sony A 700.
I would love if Pentax would go Full Frame. But fact is, if it would be wise and worth to go full. The reason is because the market share for full frame is only low I guess
I think they hit the spot with the k20d. As has already been proven on these forums, we have a 14mp aps-c sensor which matches medium format quality to a professional's eye. (i would link, but you've all seen the post, right?).
I want them to continue with another semi professional APS-C dslr, and make improvements on the speed and noise.
After that the only reason you'd want to go bigger is for the fov/dof, in which case you should probably pick up a sigma 30mm 1.4...
I think its a big mistake for them to ditch a format which they are doing so well with.
If they want to make an FF camera i reckon they have a nice K3d slot open for it.
APS-H, it's either suicidal or a stroke of genius.
I vote suicidal. How could they expect to sell expensive new lenses like the DA15 or DA*55 when there would be much better choices for thier new top-of-the-line camera? Two competing lens lineups would be very confusing, and in a rapidly declining global economy there is no margin for error.
