Wait, what? (Swedes buy silver! K200D for super price in this thread)

I thought the white one was more of a 'WOW' product than anything else, hence its limited production run. Now if Pentax was serious and made colored armor skins for different applications like different types of camo for wilderness environments and white for snowy areas, then yeah, I'd be more likely to buy that, but that is just speaking for me. A super small DSLR in silver on the other hand, now that is more practical to me as it would look like a Fuji zoom or any other advnaced P&S, but I can take the lens off. Now that would be hawt.

Several electronic chains sold the K200D kit silver in Germany for 299.- € (319.- $ w/o VAT).

now be honest: is that for real, or some pentaxian meeting there in munchen?

now, even at such price, i should not be considering any purchase now, but if it's really that bad in germany, maybe i can make a short trip, and .. ahem.. relieve somebody of their horrible, sllow focusing and soon-to-be-a-dead-brand silver camera (i'll be doing them a favour, they'l probably go for canon -- nobody will ever mug you to get a rebel -- and they will finally be happy :-P )

ps: i honestly hate the silver finish, but the price might make me swallow it. i have wanted an all black slr ever since i can remember shooting, that's the most pleasing upgrade digital has brought me

they might make a breakthrough in DSLR market.

Just look at how many colors ipod has right now.

I like the Silver FA* lenses
I even like the Pink Samsung NV cameras

I got my camera for an even more ridiculous price; bought my K100D Super kit for 3495:- last April at... Clas Ohlson!?

It's funny how this works: I, too, think silver plastic cameras looks pretty bad. Black looks much better -- but: silver/chrome metal cameras look a lot better than black metal cameras. Something like a Pentax ME looks a lot better in chrome than black, but I would have to agree that the K200D should be black.

As I said though, I really wouldn't mind the silver body if I had a full setup of FA limiteds to use it with

To be honest, didn't you see the smileys? It was a small spontaneous Pentaxian meeting in Munich and we were six. Still, three silver cameras...

Personally, I like my black K-m better than the silver K200D. But I like my silver *istDS even better. The latter is a real beauty I will never sell.

J was thinking of baying it in Sweden but - sold out. But i like a new K30D in silver instead with a 18-55 or 17-70 also in silver. Here it´s the only silver K200 i find, and it´s for 419€:
