Can anyone identify the lens attached? It looks kind of like a DA 70, but I don't own any of the limiteds so I can't be sure. If it's positively identified as a DA lens, that would rule out the 645D idea. I wouldn't mind of this was the front of a new, more compact, full-featured pentax (the front control dial makes me think it'll be a higher-spec camera).

if you go to the website, the first image from the "series" of blurry camera shots is here:

Hello! Mr. Blurry Cameraphone - Windows Live

the large body looks like a 645...

and there's no harm in it using a DA lens.... if they were making a 645D, then they'd need lenses to go with it... so a medium format DA range?

medium format does not have a flash.. and from what i've seen it's totally not 645D..
but very interesting.. if it's not K-m, not any other older models then.. it's very nice..

Looking at the direction and length of the blur of the PENTAX logo in that image, and trying to reinterpret the shape of the camera as a whole, I have to say I don't think it looks like a 645D. More like a traditional SLR shape.

I'm a little excited by this. It looks as if there's no built-in flash (the contour of the hotshoe base is similar to the MZ-M).

Could this mean PENTAX is about to release a more "base-model" style body?

Well, it has a front dial, it's wearing a DA limited, it has a front E-dial, and the mirror-box/flash area has been reworked (smaller now) but I see the hint of a button where the flash button is usually located so I'm not going to assume it lacks a built-in-flash just yet, and it's not a 645D, X70, or previous DSLR.

I, for one, am excited.
