I am not in the market for one of these anymore but for some reason I am still waiting for the firsts tests results with great interest...

Snap, I went for a DA* 50-135mm instead but I'd love to see how this lens pans out.. One day I'll own the current whole pentax range!

if the stars align just right, and pluto smiles, this lens may be in my new system budget. Let's see. 2 K20D's w/BG's. (ready for IR conversion once the new body is released later this year) 15 DA, 21 Paancake, 35 Macro, 55 1.4 Limited, and then a zoom telephoto. 60-250 or 50-135. Not sure.

different target markets IMHO. 60-250 is slower and as large as a 70-200/2.8.
The 50-135 is much smaller...more like Canon's 70-200/4....

Fortunately for me I just recently switched from Canon to Pentax so I don't have the irritation felt by most of you waiting for the release of this long awaited lens.

If it disappoints, it'll be curtains for Pentax.
