If you have 10 MP camera, DA15 will be very good. If you are K20D - user,
DA15/4 is compromise between resolution wide-opened and size/weight.

I'm shocked - NO DISTORTION AT ALL! And very good flare resist.

It was odd that they review the lens so soon.

Did they review the 55*?

Maybe that's why Value is 7.5 only

No, it's nothing odd here. You know, people may want to buy that d*mn Pentax lens - they must be stopped right here, right now!
And a review it's the best way to do it

I don't know why I click on DPR links anymore; I guess it's one of those social engineering tricks:

OP: Here, click this link, it's about Pentax
Me: Okay, <click>
Me: Crap, it's DPR and their dated, mid-90's navigation system

Odd, I don't think desiring a lens for it's fine craftsmanship is a "frivolous" reason at all; that's like saying wanting BMW over a Hyundai because of build quality is "frivolous".

Like all of Pentax's Limited series primes, it's also a finely crafted piece of kit which is a delight to use - a somewhat frivolous reason to choose one, perhaps, although still perfectly valid in its own way.

The worst thing is the yellow text.

It kills my eyes. I had to install firefox add-on just to kill the color theme.

And I heard the guy (Phil) started out as a web programmer, not a photographer. How can a web programmer design something so ugly?

And quite full of himself thanks to his Amazon zoot, too. But hey, he has a 15 Limited and I don't...

Yes it does. I took a few snaps with a sample at PMA and was surprised by some of the fringing and softness at f/4 also. Fact is, at 15mm and f/4 bokeh shouldn't be what you're buying this lens for. Go for the 14mm f/2.8 instead.

I have the 12-24 and the review said it was sharper than the 15mm. I don't know if I could get rid of it...though I would love to own small, limited Pentax primes. Looking forward to what other reviews (and users) have to say.

I wish this lens was f/1.9 like the 31mm is on film
or that the 14mm would have fast focus Ltd version
