The grip has a space to store the plastic cap that protects the pins. That's a nice touch, as I always "lost" that cap in the camera bag whenever I'd take the grip out.

Doesn't have it in the K20D grip. It only has the space for the rubber cover but not the plastic cap that protects the pins of the grip when not in use.

hey is the grip made out of the same magnesium alloy that the camera is?

I'd be surprised if the grip uses the same magnesium alloy outer shell. I guess it's similar material as the D-BG2 but I don't have any hard info. Just my guess.

D-BG4 is NOT magnesium . it's same material as D-BG2 or any other plastics I don't understand it why ..

Yup it's been answered by John C. at dpreview that it's the plastic like DBG2.

The reason why is for you to whine about this now. You said 1/180 X-sync was a deal breaker and you'll go to Nikon. Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's the big deal about not being magnesium? We haven't had a magnesium digital body and never complained about build quality. Nobody seems to be complaining about the K10/20D grip's build quality.

I'm not complaining about the build quality of any of the K series DSLRs it's simply I would like the material that the vertical grip is made of to match the rest of the camera, but it certainly isn't a deal breaker in my books.
