1st Worldwide?! Faster than Japan!! (It also held true last time when the K20D was on sales - a few days before Japan when the 1st unit appeared in the Japanese street)

Awesome, but how is this possible?

In the reviews of the K-7, they say they got a preproduction version, so they can't have put it into full production yet, or at least they would have just started production, but they shouldn't be anywhere near ready to put them on shelves.

When is the release date in the US and UK?

hmm, does this mean it has firmware 1.0.
we have been waiting for firmware 1.0 because no one can post full samples untill they have it

Hong Kong is more close to the Pentax factory in the Philippines. Possibly, Pentax ships the goods via Hong Kong back to Japan and to China also. So, it is a bit earlier when some of the goods are "dropped" down here first! :-)

Is this really the forum for self-promotion?

Why doesn't B&H and other retailers start making threads like this with links to their own sites? How much of this is going to be allowed before someone finally puts their foot down and stops allowing this kind of traffic farming?

I rarely even visit the News and Rumors section anymore because every other post (and EVERY thread) is full of Rice High's link spamming.
