Henry's is useless for trade-ins. Genuine Pentax equipment is worth more on this forum and anywhere else online.

I did get rid of a Sigma lens there for $10 more than I paid for it (ended up being a 35% profit!)

It would be pretty cool if they had such an event in the NCR.

How much do you think they would trade a DS for?

I'd be half interested in trading up but the K7 is $1600 plus taxes so that's what $1800.

Yipes.

Yeah, rubbish all right, but at least they are being up front about it. Henry's do all right out of ebay these days.

I just bought myself a second hand P&S to play with, so I am out of the loop for now. The price on a K7 certainly is rather high - Amazon had second-hand K7 bodies there for $1000 a few days ago, and the dollar is firming up nicely........

$350 for K10D?? No thanks. Just sold one of mine earlier this week for $450 CDN.

P.S. I bought my K-7 months ago from a Canadian retailer for $300 less then the *new* price at Henry's. Not much of a deal going on there...

I picked it up online. With the strong Canadian dollar right now you can purchase in the States (available everywhere now) for minimal conversion cost. You'll still have to pay taxes (equal to GST/PST) in duty, but you'd pay that anyway at a brick and mortar store here.

I don't buy anything from Henry's anymore - they are way too overpriced.

are henry's in store prices lower than online? it seems like they are trying to drive traffic into the store that would otherwise just order it on line (not even likely on thier sit, bh etc)

You can haggle a bit and you can certainly price match with a competitor at the store

As a side note, never do a phone order with them; you get no confirmations (verbal doesn't count), a tracking number only shows up WHEN they ship, and most often they will ship you the wrong model
