Hoya CEO thinking to sell off Pentax after being profitable?

HOYA's CEO, Suzuki revealed his idea for Pentax digital camera department:
"Don't think keeping (the Pentax digital camera sector) in the HOYA Group forever,
Let it merge with other companies, or independent is also OK "

From what I understood out of the google translation, that was if it keeps performing bad. But wasn't it on these forums some time ago Pentax is making a profit?

That excerpt is making its rounds; really, it's a misquote. He talks about the Hoya portfolio and said that as long as components in that portfolio become & remain profitable, they will be important parts of the portfolio, just like everything else they do (eyeglasses, contact lenses, etc.).

Remember, he's talking to shareholders; he's merely stating the obvious.
