K200D in Top 25 & K-7 out of Top 25 at Amazon

I've been routinely checking this link & surprised to see K200D break into top 25 but at same point K-7 drops out:

And the Nikon D40 (production stopped 3 years ago or so) is on #6, rising, do you get that??
I wouldn't pay too much attention to these stats.

It's a recession, maybe people are getting good value older models rather than new ones?

It's good to see Pentax represented in the top 25 on the Amazon ranks, but it's hard to take these too seriously. For example, whenever I'm glancing at cameras I almost never see a Sony camera in the top 25, let alone the top 50, but still they supposedly rank third in market share for DSLRs behind the obvious top 2. Sony has to be selling all those cameras somewhere, right?

On a side note, it's interesting that the Panasonic GF1 has taken the place from the Olympus ep-1 in the top 20 of the rankings. I look forward to see what Olympus can come up with for their second try.

Looks like the K-7 is at 24 today, for what that's worth.

I wouldn't pay any attention to this as any barometer of the K-7, or any other body...the D90 is listed numerous times, as that of the D50 and the Rebel things.

This poll doesn't help me be a better photographer, therefore useless to me.

Pretty sure he's saying with a sample size of a couple thousand a day, give or take, it doesn't take very many customers to put something in and out of the top 25 on the camera list. There just aren't that many camera being sold, compared to say, books or CDs.
