But at least, you'll be able to shot the end of the world with a FF camera! Quel privilège!

Yeah, safe to say if the rumour becomes fact, there's bound to be a massive hike in prices of F/FA lenses.

But I imagine that Pentax wouldn't pass up the chance to release some new lenses to go with the new body. After all, with cameras that last this long, they have to hook us with the accessories

Nah. The F/FA lenses will probably stagnate in price whereas the new DFAs will come on board and set the standard...

F/FA will probably increase a bit initially. Then depending on the new lenses .... they will keep the price or drop a bit.

My 2 eurocents.

(either way I already have all the FA's so I'm set )

+/-. No solid dates yet.

P.S. It will be 2 FF cameras.. First - cheaper, than - more expensive

Jees, think you could be a little more vague? I think this is just speculation, not solid source quoting.

I think they will release one too, but who knows when. (Or I could make something up and sound "in the know".)

Anyone got a handy link to the 2008 Pentax Full Frame thread?

Anyone got a handy link to the 2008 Pentax Full Frame thread at pentaxforums?

I can't seem to find it.

It would be fun and insightful to read thru again.

Of course! I would just prefer to discuss what is currently on the plate rather than the 5 star dinner this thread is looking forward to, on an unplanned once-in-a-lifetime vacation coming up sometime between now and never (or 2010/2011/2012/2013 - since the 2007/2008/2009 boats have already sailed).

Well, either 2010 or 2011...that gives me enough time to save up and to go grab a bunch of old M/A primes. Heck, that'll give me enough time to grab some ZK's too.

Whoowee... screw a lens roadmap! All my recent lens purchases have been classic Pentax and Tamron Adaptall-2 MF glass. That's why I bought into Pentax in the first place!

Give us a non-crippled K-mount to use with all this awesome older glass on FF and a good split prism focus screen, and I think Pentax will be suprised what kind of loyalty it can generate with an FF body.

I know this doesn't drive new lens sales, but geez, the enthusiast market IS the target market for FF, so why not make the body sing for us? NO MOVIE SUPPORT. Support for older lenses to get awesome image quality and ease of use.
